Miniature open book

📚📚Happy Sunday!📚📚

Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. Today’s video is a miniature book, I’ve made this miniature book many times and it always comes out nice. In my video I made a fixed open book but you can also have it as a normal book since the book is properly bound and wont come apart.


MATERIALS AND TOOLS I USED:

  • printing paper
  • card stock
  • white wood glue / paper glue
  • sanding paper/sponge
  • fabric
  • mod podge
  • coffee

Each tiny page fits the tiny book size dimensions in my video. But if you would like to make other sizes and dimensions you can find more vintage scanned works at the New York Public Library https://digitalcollections.nypl.org/

      The original books are really old so they are in public domain.

    Hi, this looks so sweet, thanks for posting this tutorial, i just have a question about dipping the book in tea water. how do you spread the pages so nicely? do you dry the book beforehand? i made a test and the wet pages started to tear.

      Oh I squeeze to get most of the water out and then just gently move the pages.

    Than you kindly for your delightful book. Can you tell me, please, why you used to Mod Podge “paint” with the finished book, as I fear this would stick all the pages with each one..       Heya Marion, for the modpodge I only used it because its an open book permanently and i wanted the page to be a bit glossy, I wouldn’t use mod podge on a miniature book that opens and closes, hope that makes sense =) Happy 2026!
