Studio Ghibli has released around 400 images from 8 of their feature animation movies, so far! The way they worded it on their website suggests they will be adding more images from other movies in the coming months.
The current images are from the following movies:
- Spirited Away (2001)
- Tales from Earthsea (2006)
- Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea (2008)
- Arrietty (2010)
- From Up on Poppy Hill (2011)
- The Wind Rises (2013)
- The Tale of The Princess Kaguya (2013)
- When Marnie Was There (2014)
I must admit even tho I love Ghibli movies, there are quite a few I haven’t seen yet! So this weekend I’m definitely checking out Arrietty which is available on Netflix. Tiny people in tiny houses what is not to love ^^
But some of my fondest memory’s come from Spirited Away, My neighbor Totoro and Howl’s Moving Castle. They are my go to feel good movies and I would defiantly recommend them to anyone. Howl’s Moving Castle is also when I first came in contact with papercraft models. I found a papermodel for Howls home and I remember working on it for a month and I loved every second of it, and to this day I still have the finished model in my closet. ^^
Let me know what your favorite Ghibli movie is.
